About the Role

Primarily responsible for the delegation and maintenance of all life safety and fire related conformance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with fire departments and relevant vendor groups to maintain functional, compliant, and documented fire alarms, elevators, sprinkler systems, and other systems.
  • Maintains oil separators, including timely checks, recording, scheduling, and executing required vendor maintenance procedures.
  • Manages commissioning and decommissioning of bulk oil tanks, including registrations with the DEC, inspections, and record keeping.
  • Performs inventory coordination with the Facilities Administrator.
  • Supports the Maguire Facilities Quality Standards program.
  • Completes field assignments appointed by the Facilities Administrator and Director of Facilities.
  • Spends approximately 20% of time on office/inspections and 80% in the field.
  • Is on call as scheduled.
  • Ensures fire department and life safety compliance.

Requirements

  • General trades skills are preferred.
  • Entry-level experience required.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
  • Available for occasional late-night or early-morning calls to address operational issues.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior dealership experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Requires mental and visual attention for data and figures analysis, computer terminal use, and reading.
  • Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Light exertion involving sitting, walking, and/or standing most of the time.
  • Will be exposed to noise, vibrations, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous or non-hazardous materials.
