About the Role

As a Residential Aide at Phoenix House, you will provide operational support, participate and facilitate the occurrence of shift change and attend and participate in staff meetings. Be part of something bigger — help us build a healthier, addiction-free future together.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that clients adhere to the day-to-day program schedule, tracking attendance as required.
  • Monitors participation in program events and activities, if applicable.
  • Conduct and document routine room/bed and facility checks, (minimally every thirty minutes) to ensure client and facility safety and security.
  • Evaluate the client's property/items upon admission to ensure compliance with facility and program guidelines.
  • Provides safe, timely, and supervised transportation of clients to off-site appointments or activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and/or other reports in a timely manner, in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Makes hourly tours of the facility, logging all pertinent activity.
  • Manages after-hours incidents and emergencies, as required, notifying the appropriate staff.
  • Coordinates and facilitates all scheduled nighttime activities (i.e., fire drill, evacuation, etc.)
  • Completes room-to-room headcounts three(3) times each night.
  • Conducts routine facility checks to ensure facility safety and security.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year’s experience working in social services.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Salary/Compensations

  • $17.78 - $26.68 Hourly
