About the Role
The Post Award Administrator serves as the operational backbone for sponsored project administration within the School of Global Public Health (GPH). This position drives the central coordination, tracking, and administrative execution of post-award lifecycles across a complex portfolio of grants and subawards, ensuring compliance and on-schedule deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Actively manage submission timelines, subaward processing, procurement workflows, and sponsor reporting logistics.
- Ensure full compliance with NYU and sponsor guidelines.
- Keep project deliverables strictly on schedule.
- Streamline day-to-day administrative operations by managing non-financial compliance workflows, subaward setups, and Concur transaction tracking.
- Enable Senior Post-Award Analysts to concentrate on high-level financial strategy, complex forecasting, and strategic faculty consulting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other analytical discipline.
- 2+ years quantitative analytical experience, preferably in finance or accounting.
- Experience working with post-award grants management including NIH and other federal or international grants.
- Experience in a college or university setting.
- Ability to understand management requirements and broader processes.
- Ability to frame the result of research and financial analysis in a clear and concise fashion.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Skills
- Strong quantitative and modeling skills.
- Familiarity and ability to use databases, workflow systems, and presentation and standard query tool software.
- Demonstrated proficiency with intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Google Apps proficiency.
- Proficient in the creation and delivery of influential presentations to a senior audience.
- Familiarity with Peoplesync, UDW+, Cayuse, i-Buy, WorkDay Concur.
