About the Role
The Research Coordinator will support the Toronto (U of T) based research initiative for the seven-year SSHRC project 'Aging in the Margins: Building Inclusivity and Goodwill (AIM BIG)'. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the project, including tracking milestones, maintaining documentation, facilitating communication, and supporting report preparation.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling day-to-day project activities
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
- Formatting data collected for presentations and reports
- Liaising with agencies, collaborators, industry sponsors, faculty and other stakeholders
- Providing detailed information on processes, policies, and procedures
- Conceptualizing, coordinating, and executing event activities and programming, including determining logistical details and organizing resources
- Maintaining information on digital platforms and verifying that content is consistent with brand guidelines
- Handling sensitive and/or confidential information
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum two (2) years' of experience coordinating research projects in an academic environment
- Demonstrated interest in research on aging and inequalities
- Experience fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners, agencies
- Experience drafting summaries of research results, producing tables, figures and reports
- Experience completing Research Ethics Board (REB) applications and related University research protocols
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps and content management systems to update website content
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills (oral and written) with an ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
