About the Role
Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Product Owner to join the Ratings Workflow Solutions (RWS) team in London. This role will support Product Owners in defining product roadmaps and translating business needs into actionable solutions, contributing to strategic initiatives that improve workflows, systems, and data processes. The position offers the opportunity to reimagine processes using AI tooling and modern platforms, working closely with Agile squads and stakeholders to drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support Product Owners in defining and executing product direction for records management, document feed capabilities, and data flows across platforms.
- Partner with squads to explore opportunities to reimagine current-state processes, including AI tooling applications for document and content workflows.
- Analyze and document workflows and system processes in current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) formats.
- Elicit requirements from stakeholders and translate them into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and daily scrum meetings.
- Work closely with Agile squad members to provide timely feedback and help ensure sprint goals are met.
- Help maintain and refine the squad backlog, including prioritization support and sprint readiness.
- Coordinate dependencies across squads, partner teams, and upstream/downstream systems.
- Help define and track product metrics to document business value.
- Support user readiness activities, including testing coordination, training materials, release communications, and post-release feedback loops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with interest in growing into a Product Owner role; or current experience as a Junior Product Owner.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience supporting delivery routines.
- Proficiency with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to AI-enabled tooling such as Figma Mate.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders across different functions.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and a clear ownership mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, matrixed organization.
