About the Role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Product Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support to the Field Sales & Service organization and Data Center Accounts across all chiller product offerings. This is a remote position for US-based candidates.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support for key Data Center Accounts to Field Sales & Service organization on a global basis via site visit, phone, fax, or email.
Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process for both existing products and new products.
Provide technical support and interact with quality management and engineering to improve overall life cycle cost.
Create test plans to prove out new and/or existing product equipment offerings.
Maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes in work responsibilities or environment.
Create novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers.
Place a high priority on the internal or external customer’s perspective when making decisions and acting.
Ensure others contribute to organization strategies and driving operational discipline, role clarity and performance transparency.
Set, document, and communicate clear work standards to improve performance.
Identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information.
Choose the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making timely decisions.

Requirements

Must be able to travel up to 10%.
Analyze and solve complex product system problems.
Proficient in troubleshooting the refrigeration cycle as applied to air-conditioning duty on Applied Equipment.
