About the Role
CACI is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and strategic sourcing at our Rochester, NY facility.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with internal teams to anticipate and fulfill procurement needs.
- Receives and reviews purchase requests, gathers and evaluates quotes, and seeks necessary approvals.
- Conduct supplier negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery performance.
- Prepare procurement reports for management briefing.
- Streamline and optimize procurement processes by implementing best practices and continuous improvement strategies, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
- Maintains procurement records in system of record, such as items or services purchased, costs, and delivery.
- Act as a primary problem-solver for complex procurement issues, setting an example of effective decision-making and proactive solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company, government, and customer requirements by maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and following regulated procurement processes.
- Drives a culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation within the procurement team.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Analytical mindset to evaluate supplier performance, costs, and risks, using data to inform strategic decisions and mentor team members in developing these skills.
- Ability to make independent, strategic decisions and effectively manage high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to anticipate and mitigate procurement delays, modeling proactive behavior.
- Experienced with selecting, ordering, and authorizing payment for material.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and provide clear, concise updates to all involved parties.
- Competency with data analysis, use of MS tools.
- Experience with InFor ERP system or similar.
