About the Role
The Resident Manager is responsible for the daily operations of assigned apartment buildings, including leasing, administrative tasks, light maintenance, cleaning, and providing excellent customer service to tenants.
Responsibilities
- Advertise and show units to prospective tenants, answer rental inquiries, process applications, assist with credit reference checks, and submit documents for approval.
- Manage rent collection, tenant follow-up, rental inquiries, unit showings, reference checks, notice delivery, and tenant event organization.
- Maintain fire safety logbooks, update fire safety plans, complete paperwork, and review rent rolls for accuracy.
- Perform clerical tasks such as organizing receipts, quotes, and purchase orders, and handle administrative duties like email responses and incident documentation.
- Handle cleaning and maintenance tasks, including common area cleaning, managing maintenance requests, performing small repairs, and overseeing contractors.
- Complete outdoor seasonal cleaning such as raking, flower bed care, snow shoveling, and salting walkways.
Requirements
- High school diploma or minimum five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance may be required.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail/web) are required.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, push and pull, and navigate stairs.
