About the Role
UDig's 2027 Summer Internship Program offers a launchpad for engineering careers in consulting, providing real-world experience by shipping working software on live client engagements.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code as part of a delivery team on an active client engagement.
- Gain practical experience with modern development stacks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and DevOps tools.
- Participate in code reviews and pairing with Consultants, applying feedback to sharpen engineering craft.
- Help debug, refactor, and document existing systems, and contribute to data models and integrations.
- Dedicate time to research emerging technologies and best practices relevant to the project, applying academic knowledge in a professional setting.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Foundational programming knowledge in an object-oriented or modern language (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Working understanding of data structures, algorithms, and version control (Git).
- Exposure to relational databases and SQL, REST APIs, or cloud services is a plus.
- Strong passion for technology consulting and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the enthusiasm to ask questions and learn rapidly.
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the 8-week summer program (6/7-7/30).
