About the Role
Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Principal Test Technician on our Engineering Technologist team onsite in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Testing prototype development systems to determine optimum thermal settings.
- Executing test plans based on written or verbal instructions.
- Performing automated testing and documenting findings.
- Interacting with subordinates and/or functional peer groups daily.
- Testing prototype assemblies, including light disassembly/assembly of computers.
- Using an IR camera to determine thermal hot spots.
- Adhering thermocouples to hot spots for testing.
- Conducting thermal testing in a natural convection chamber with DAQ-based equipment.
- Running Acoustic testing in an anechoic chamber.
- Creating reports from data output for engineer review.
- Applying knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems.
- Working on problems of limited scope and determining a course of action based on guidelines.
- Receiving general instruction on work and new assignments.
- Following standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with computers, loading and executing software.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Strong work ethic, personal accountability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong communication skills, discipline to hold oneself accountable, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
