About the Role
As a Barista at the JW Marriott Hotel Berlin, you will prepare high-quality coffee and espresso specialties with passion and the highest quality standards. You will competently advise guests on coffee, tea, and other beverage specialties, ensuring a warm and professional service that creates unforgettable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee and espresso specialties with passion and the highest quality standards.
- Competently advise guests on coffee, tea, and other beverage specialties.
- Ensure warm and professional service and create unforgettable guest experiences.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in the preparation and presentation of all beverages.
- Prepare and organize the work area daily and perform mise en place.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with orders and inventories.
- Maintain coffee machines and work equipment in perfect condition and perform daily cleaning tasks.
- Contribute creative ideas for seasonal drinks and new coffee creations.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues from service, kitchen, and bar under the motto 'One Team – One Dream'.
- Adhere to hygiene regulations according to HACCP at all times.
- Represent the hotel with a positive attitude and quality awareness.
- Handle guest requests and complaints confidently and find appropriate solutions.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in the hotel or gastronomy industry or comparable professional experience.
- First experience as a Barista or in the service sector is an advantage.
- Passion for coffee and interest in current coffee trends and preparation methods.
- Strong host mentality and enjoyment of working with people.
- Friendly, authentic, and communicative personality.
- High quality and responsibility awareness.
- Independent, structured, and reliable way of working.
- Flexibility regarding shift and weekend work.
- Good German and English language skills; further foreign languages are an advantage.
- Team spirit, commitment, and the motivation to create something special together.
