About the Role
A Medical Assistant helps patients and the clinical team at designated health centers in support of medical care as directed by nursing and medical staff, performing duties in compliance with organizational objectives and policies.
Responsibilities
- Completes the rooming process and takes vital signs, vision, and/or hearing tests.
- Records patient data in eCW, including laboratory results, pain level, PEAS, PhQ, and smoke status.
- Documents the reason for patient visits.
- Performs in-house labs and collects specimens for outside labs.
- Performs quality control in accordance with organizational protocols.
- Maintains stock and order in the clinical area, ensuring dated materials are current and outdated supplies are disposed of.
- Cleans and sterilizes all equipment and logs each service.
- Performs basic clerical work, answers phones, communicates problems to nursing staff, and handles telephone inquiries.
- Ensures all appropriate logs are maintained.

- High School diploma/ GED with Medical Assistant Training Certificate
- 0-1 year of related work experience
