About the Role

Serve as a key liaison between artists & labels and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships, ensuring campaign execution, and providing support for real-time updates and deliverables. Requires a proactive approach to product management with deep expertise in the Black Music Space.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain close relationships with Artist and label day-to-day teams, ensuring clear communication and feedback to achieve shared goals.
  • Host meetings with key clients and attend concerts, events, and label meetings to build strong partnerships.
  • Ensure all internal departments and external third-party partners have the necessary tools and support for effective campaign plan execution.
  • Share regular updates with internal and external parties on campaign progress, physical/digital retail plans, and priority release schedules.
  • Ensure plans and campaigns stay on track, set project timelines, manage campaign budgets for artists, and maintain momentum by solving day-to-day challenges.
  • Plan, execute, and communicate release strategies to the highest standard, exploring new opportunities, managing third parties, and holding third-party teams accountable.
  • Utilize reports and data to adapt quickly to emerging trends, shifts in fan activity, and market trends, adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • Work alongside the Relationship Lead to establish clear goals, key benchmarks, and performance targets at the start of each project.
  • Stay informed on high-performing and developing artists, deeply understanding their business models to maximize performance and visibility.
  • Serve as a reliable source on company systems, tools, and processes, ensuring seamless operational execution for clients.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to add relevant specialized services (D2C, marketing, audience development, ad sales, sync etc.) to elevate campaign reach.
  • Help optimize label’s catalogue and maximize repertoire value, particularly around key tentpole moments.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and solve day-to-day challenges as they arise, staying flexible to support label needs.
  • Regularly prepare and deliver high-level label, artist, and campaign reports for clients and the team.

Requirements

  • Significant project management experience or campaign coordination.
  • Previous experience product managing directly with labels, third-party agencies, or artist management teams is preferred.
  • Proficiency in utilizing analytics tools to track and interpret release performance, trends, and metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to serve as a key liaison between artists, labels, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and resolving challenges quickly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Highly organized professional that pays close attention to the details with the ability to multitask and prioritize to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Familiarity with digital tools, release management software, and project management platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace Applications and adaptable to new programs.
  • Passionate about the music business and have a desire to build a career in the industry.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
