About the Role

Arcadis Digital X is a global Technology Consulting Practice Group focused on providing professional advisory, design and engineering services to clients that rely on enabling technology for its success. Our team uses extensive experience to design solutions that people love to use, primarily servicing sectors like industrial manufacturing, technology (e.g., hyperscale data centers), healthcare, education, and government. We are seeking a Technology Systems Specialist – ICT/ELV to join our global technology design team based in the UK, supporting global projects.

Responsibilities

Design extra low voltage (ELV) systems, including ICT, Audio Visual, Security, and Structured Cabling solutions.
Lead ICT and structured cabling design for hyperscale data center and mission-critical projects from planning through detailed design and construction support.
Develop design criteria, narratives, layouts, and construction documentation for telecommunications rooms, equipment rooms, backbone distribution, horizontal cabling, pathways, and cable tray systems.
Develop written system specifications and functional system narratives in EN Series, ISO/IEC and Master Format specification templates, specifically Division 27, and Division 28.
Work with Revit/CAD teams to develop technical design and construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, system riser diagrams and installation details.
Utilize Navisworks for resolving modeling conflicts and collisions.
Review design documents (drawings and specifications) and provide direction on engineering drawing development.
Evaluate industry technology equipment for suitability in design solutions.
Liaise with design teams, including electrical, mechanical, and architectural consultants, to support an integrated project approach.
Attend, lead, and minute design meetings and workshops with clients and the design team.
Develop budgetary implementation costs.
Provide construction stage administration, including site reviews and reports.
Engage in business development, client relations, proposal support, technical approach development, and project scoping.
Coordinate with and train junior team members.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of technology ELV systems design and installation experience with large-scale industrial or commercial projects with complex technology needs, preferably in the data center sector.
Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center programs.
Background in mission-critical facility design beyond cabling, including coordination with security, AV, or related low voltage systems.
Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model-based design workflows.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel.
Comfort working with remote task assignment software programs.
Familiarity and comfort working in agile sprint-based team assignment and organizational structures.
Ability to support projects across geographic locations and time zones.
Experience working with design markup programs such as Visio, Bluebeam, CAD (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
Ability to work with remote enabling technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom etc.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and remote team members.
Energetic, diplomatic, flexible, problem-solving mindset.
Strong organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to take initiative.
