About the Role
Crown Agents Bank requires a software engineer to design, build, and evolve integration solutions and cloud-native platforms. This role involves hands-on work with a high degree of initiative and autonomy, contributing to design discussions and translating stakeholder requirements into resilient software and infrastructure. Engineers are encouraged to utilize and champion AI tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve integration solutions and cloud-native components.
- Contribute to system design discussions with leads and architects.
- Lead the hands-on build of integrations with third-party and internal systems using AWS services.
- Write production-quality code and build infrastructure.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into practical technical designs, considering trade-offs.
- Define and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish and monitor observability and data quality standards.
- Support and guide less experienced engineers.
- Utilize AI coding assistants and LLM-assisted development practices.
- Work across teams to scope, sequence, and deliver new integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated track record of designing, building, and operating production software and cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrable, hands-on use of AI coding assistants and LLM-assisted development.
- Evidence of continued self-directed learning.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar cloud or software engineering role.
- Hands-on experience building and operating services on AWS.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with SQL and database optimization.
- Practical experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Practical experience with Git/GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Experience with observability tooling such as Dynatrace.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools.
- Experience using, or strong demonstrated interest in, AI coding assistants and LLM-assisted development.
