About the Role
The role involves analyzing the existing Aurora landscape, deriving action requirements, developing sound decision-making bases, and implementing agreed-upon measures. This position combines architectural consulting, technical strategy, and operational modernization of the existing Aurora system landscape.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the Aurora system landscape regarding architecture, risks, maintainability, and future viability.
- Identify and prioritize technical debt, including measures for modernization and consolidation.
- Document dependencies and evaluate existing components with recommendations for replacement, further development, or consolidation.
- Conceptualize target architectures, create decision-making bases, and conduct impact and economic analyses.
- Steer technical implementation, perform architectural improvements, and maintain documentation, roadmaps, and risk assessments in close coordination with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Minimum of eight years of professional experience in software development and software architecture.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the analysis, conception, and further development of complex application landscapes.
- Ideally, experience in modernizing legacy systems and managing technical debt.
- Proficient in software architecture, architecture management, and architecture reviews.
- Very good knowledge of client-server, distributed, and service-oriented architectures.
- Proficient in modern technologies and architectural patterns such as Java, Spring Boot, REST, Microservices, and Docker.
- Experience with architecture modeling and documentation (e.g., arc42, C4 model, ADR).
- Proficient in agile methodologies like Scrum and SAFe.
- Experience in requirements and stakeholder management.
- Proficient with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Nexus.
- Ability to independently analyze complex systems and derive sustainable architectural measures.
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style.
- Experience in creating architectural concepts, target states, migration strategies, and management templates.
- Ability to prepare complex technical issues understandably for specialist departments, management, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in the technical management of implementations without disciplinary responsibility.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
