About the Role
The Eberhardt Service Group is looking for a personality to strategically implement AI & Data within the company and generate measurable impact. As Head of AI & Data, you will be responsible for the further development of AI, Data, and digital solutions within the Eberhardt Service Group, connecting corporate strategy, operational processes, and technology to develop practical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop the AI and Data strategy of the Eberhardt Service Group together with management and translate it into a clear roadmap and concrete measures.
- Analyze existing processes with specialist departments and identify potential for AI, data, digitalization, and automation.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and manage AI and Data initiatives based on benefit, effort, risk, economic efficiency, and scalability, from idea to successful implementation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of AI applications, automations, digital tools, and data-based solutions, deciding with stakeholders what to develop in-house, purchase, or integrate.
- Build the necessary data structures, governance, and standards for the secure, responsible, and scalable use of AI and data, considering data protection, information security, and regulatory requirements.
- Measure the benefits of AI and Data, develop business cases and KPIs, and ensure successful solutions contribute to efficiency, quality, productivity, and corporate development.
- Lead and develop the AI & Data team, further expand relevant competencies within the company, and collaborate closely with management, executives, and specialist departments.
- Communicate strategy and investments with management.
- Discuss processes with operational managers.
- Discuss architecture, data, and AI with technical specialists.
- Experience in change management and building AI/Data competencies in departments new to these topics.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a comparable field, or an equivalent practical qualification.
- Several years of experience in AI, Data, Digitalization, Automation, or Technology.
- Experience in developing and implementing AI/Data strategies and concrete use cases.
- Experience in leading teams and/or larger projects, as well as responsibility for budgets and resources.
- Proven experience in building, implementing, and scaling digital, AI, or Data solutions.
- Understanding of Claude, Python, Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, and automation.
- Good knowledge of Data Governance, data platforms, analytics, and data quality.
- Ideally, experience with systems like SAP BO or ELO.
- Experience with cloud and AI platforms, ideally in the Microsoft environment.
- Understanding of the entire AI lifecycle – from idea through pilots to productive operation.
- Experience with business cases, ROI analyses, and the economic evaluation of technology.
- Basic understanding of modern IT and Microsoft environments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Very good German language skills (C2) and good English language skills (B2).
