About the Role
As an Optometrist at Boots, you will play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care using the latest technology, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Your growth will be continuous, with no two days being the same.
Responsibilities
- Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
- Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
- Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
- Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
- Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
- Keeping clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
- Playing a key role in the store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift
Requirements
- Confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients
- GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
- NHS performer number (or working towards it)
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration
- At least 3 years qualified

- At Boots Opticians, we help everyone see what’s possible, from our customers to our colleagues.
- We have 3 testing rooms, benefiting from brilliant equipment including a Phoropter and OCT to support us in our journey to provide the best service to our customers and patients.
- Richmond transport and travel are very accessible. Richmond station is a slow 10 minute walk away with an option of underground and overground and a whole variety of buses with drop off right outside the store. There is off street parking is available 10 minute walk away too.
- You will join our amazing team of 14 which includes another Resident Optometrist, 1 X DO etc.
