About the Role
The Director, Managing Director is the primary client contact, responsible for leading, educating, resolving issues, building relationships, and meeting the needs of Plan Sponsors. This role involves developing positive relationships with institutional clients and internal Fidelity personnel to support service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop positive relationships with institutional clients and internal Fidelity personnel.
- Act as the client’s 'trusted advisor'.
- Build client relationships to the highest level of decision makers.
- Plan and conduct effective in-person and/or phone meetings.
- Make detailed plans and preparations for client meetings.
- Plan, influence, and implement Fidelity solutions to address client needs.
- Differentiate Fidelity's benefits approach against competitive solutions.
- Facilitate discussions with clients regarding legal, regulatory, and design issues.
- Consult with clients on qualified and non-qualified plan design alternatives.
- Coordinate internal resources to provide analysis and recommendations on design alternatives.
- Analyze investment architecture and provide appropriate alternatives.
- Identify key drivers and maintain consistent contact with key client decision makers.
- Facilitate Investment Review meetings.
- Lead discussions with Investment Consulting to build effective investment strategies and develop solutions.
- Assist Plan Sponsors with plan corrections, operational defects, PSW navigation, plan literature, and contribution inquiries.
- Resolve problems on behalf of clients to produce a satisfactory outcome.
- Act as the lead associate for the Book of Business, with supporting functions providing services through the MD to the client.
- Build and develop strong working relationships.
- Understand and respond to client needs.
- Assume a consultative role to understand business needs and relevant issues.
- Ensure client satisfaction by seeking feedback and anticipating issues to proactively provide solutions.
Requirements
- Must hold Series 7 and 63 licenses.
- 3-5 plus years of Relationship Management or Client Service experience, preferably within the Retirement/401K industry.
- Retirement plan record keeping and administration experience.
- Relationship management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time leadership skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Effective presentation, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Verify client agreement on issues and options before implementing solutions.
- Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
