About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use technology to document observations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation with clear, accurate details.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
