About the Role
At Seneca Resorts & Casinos, we work hard, celebrate often, and build a culture people actually want to be part of. The Kitchen Worker is responsible for all operations for their specific area, ensuring quality and efficiency of service while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen areas.
- Prepare tableware for washing, including scraping plates and presoaking silverware.
- Set up and operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring correct temperatures and detergent levels.
- Wash and dry all dishes and kitchen equipment.
- Stack and store dishes and equipment in appropriate areas.
- Clean dishwashing equipment and working areas thoroughly.
- Collect and remove garbage and refuse for recycling.
- Mop and sweep floors, and wash walls and ceiling tiles.
- Sanitize all cooking equipment.
- Perform detail cleaning of kitchen and peripheral equipment, including ovens, fryers, and coolers.
- Maintain a current understanding of information security policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to all company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Must possess good communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
- Ability to understand and comply with policies, procedures, memos, and chemical labels.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods.
- Ability to handle objects up to fifty pounds.
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
