About the Role
Department 430 develops embedded systems and integrates government furnished equipment for submarine weapon and payload launch control systems. This role offers flexible work arrangements, with potential for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Develop system and component level test procedures and scenarios that trace to system, hardware, and software requirements.
- Develop and execute test procedures/scenarios to verify system and component level requirements.
- Develop and maintain requirements for simulators.
- Develop software for custom simulators.
- Participate in environmental testing.
- Find and troubleshoot bugs in the system.
- Develop custom simulators that model ship systems and provide real-time input/output interfaces.
- Develop and maintain custom test equipment used in construction grooming.
- Verify requirements of components for both US and UK Submarines.
- Prepare test reports to document as-run test results.
- Develop system simulation to provide system-specific input/output responses.
- Manage projects, including technical, budget, and schedule aspects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of post-graduate engineering experience.
- Experience with component testing.
- Experience leading a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Testing or troubleshooting experience.
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or System Engineering.
- Understanding and experience with applying the principles of System Engineering.
- Experience with vendor management.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers.
- Experience with MODBUS or digital sensors.
- Experience with environmentally qualifying components and military standards.
- Experience with Navy systems, components and documentation.
- Experience with IBM Rational Dynamic Object Orientation Requirements System (DOORS).
