About the Role
Alice sells to frontier labs, requiring a technical understanding of their systems to design engagements. This role leverages a West Coast presence and engagement to build community and influence product direction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical front line in the Bay Area, acting as the Tier 1 technical voice in client meetings, RFPs, and novel scopes.
- Translate deep discovery conversations into executable scopes for research and delivery teams.
- Own the top and middle of the sales funnel, initiating conversations, securing technical wins, and defining partnerships.
- Handle objections during live technical deep dives with elite engineering and research teams.
- Build the frontier-lab community in the Valley by running events with post-training, safety, and security leads.
- Gather insights into lab team needs and set up meetings that lead to clients.
- Represent Alice at conferences, analyst briefings, technical talks, and joint research initiatives.
- Communicate market signals back into the company to influence product roadmap and direction.
- Influence the AI Labs pod agenda, AI security research priorities, and product direction.
- Establish Alice's operational terms in the Valley and act as the key on-the-ground person.
- Participate in interviewing for adjacent roles and assist other departments with local hiring.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience as a Principal Solution Architect.
- Deep, current understanding of AI systems security, including agents, tools, orchestration, data flow, guardrails, red teaming, and evals.
- Working knowledge of how frontier labs engage with and procure from vendors.
- Proven track record of translating research into shipped products and generating revenue at scale.
- Credibility with frontier-lab researchers.
- Comfortable serving as a public technical voice.
- Based in the Bay Area with an established network in the Valley AI and security community.
- Fluent in working across the Israel time zone.
- Hands-on experience with RL post-training, GRPO, agentic environments, or eval harness design (Nice to Have).
- Prior experience within a frontier lab, research organization, or a vendor selling into one (Nice to Have).
- Experience as the first senior person on the ground in a new geography (Nice to Have).
