About the Role

As the Receptionist at Soho House, you will deliver seamless front-of-house service, support daily Club operations, and be the first point of contact for members and guests, setting a welcoming tone. Your role emphasizes discretion, efficiency, and elegance.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome every member by name (if local) and guest with open arms and a hospitable manner.
  • Answer high-volume phone lines and calls for reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries.
  • Provide information regarding menus, hours of operation, and amenity availability/pricing.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment, including the reception area and desk.
  • Perform Guest List duties on the floor level, club, and/or Rooftop.
  • Support, redirect, and problem-solve in real-time to address guest concerns.
  • Assist guests by checking/retrieving coats and personal items.
  • Build relationships with members and guests, communicating feedback to management.
  • Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
  • Assist management with new hires by training Soho Standards and steps of service.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all facilities, offerings, events, and policies to inform guests.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a front desk role
  • Experience in luxury hospitality or private members clubs
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Open Table, or equivalent)
  • Calm under pressure and adept at resolving issues with a guest-first mindset
