About the Role
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges. In this role, you will work on Google’s dynamic Marketing business. Using your analytical skills, excellent relationship skills, and solid business partnering, you will help manage one of Google’s largest expenses to drive sustainable growth. You will play a key role in effective budget management, performance reviews, and process transformation.
Responsibilities
- Drive a sustainable EMEA marketing function by enabling sound financial decision-making.
- Execute complex analytics to deliver business results.
- Ensure sound quarterly forecasts and minimal FvA variances.
- Build and scale new analytical capabilities from dashboards to AI-enabled solutions.
- Partner with Marketing, aligning with the champion-challenger framework.
- Manage multi-million dollar product area budgets, advising on resource allocation for maximum impact.
- Drive a culture of performance via sound KPIs, and ambitious yet achievable goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
- Experience executing full-cycle financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
