About the Role
We are looking for an investment banking professional with deep Financial Institutions Group (FIG) expertise to join our FIG Coverage team. This role will drive client engagement, strategic advisory, and origination across a portfolio of financial institution clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage senior client relationships across banks, insurers, asset managers, and specialty finance companies.
- Originate and execute a broad range of transactions, including M&A, equity and debt capital raising, and other strategic advisory engagements.
- Partner with product teams (ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance, M&A) to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
- Lead client dialogue, including idea generation, pitching, and execution oversight.
- Support sector coverage strategy, including identifying growth opportunities and market themes.
- Manage transaction processes end-to-end, coordinating internal teams and external advisors.
- Mentor and develop junior bankers, fostering a high-performance team environment.
Requirements
- Significant experience in investment banking, with strong FIG sector coverage.
- Proven track record in originating and executing M&A and capital markets transactions.
- Deep understanding of financial institutions, including regulatory and capital frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage senior client relationships.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and priorities simultaneously.
- Curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows.
- Validate outputs and align with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
