About the Role

The UBS Global Industrials Group is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join their team. This role involves providing key analytical support in idea origination and transaction execution, focusing on M&A, leveraged buyouts, and equity/debt/private capital markets transactions.

Responsibilities

Find creative and correct solutions for senior clients.
Define, guide, and review detailed valuation and financial analyses for M&A transactions.
Actively participate in identifying new opportunities and clients.
Support coverage of existing clients with new ideas.
Work flexibly and adapt to different working styles within the team and across partner teams.
Build and support existing relationships with sponsors and corporate clients.
Help build team culture and develop skills of junior bankers.
Work across verticals including industrial technologies, business services, aerospace & defence, automotive, transportation & logistics, paper & packaging, and building materials.
Support transaction execution across products like M&A, equity capital markets, and leveraged finance.
Provide key analytical support in idea origination efforts and transaction execution focused on M&A, leveraged buyouts, and equity / debt / private capital markets transactions.

Requirements

Relevant experience in investment banking, including idea generation and transaction execution with a focus on M&A.
Excellent financial modeling experience (operating models / DCFs, merger models, LBOs).
Robust understanding of asset and corporate valuation.
Ability to lead preparation and review of Excel models.
Strong skills in developing client presentations for pitching and execution documents.
Ability to proactively drive creative and original content.
High level of attention to detail, proactivity, and time management.
Passionate and motivated to develop your career and relationships both within UBS and with clients.
Experience training or managing junior team members.
Strong communication skills and ability to present internally and to clients.
Previous experience in an investment banking role in one or multiple industrial verticals is preferred but not necessary.
Proficient in spoken and written English is essential.
Curious to explore how AI can improve workflows, with sound judgment in validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
