About the Role
Support the Investment Bank in its first-line control and operational risk management activities, including delivering the non-financial risk and supervisory framework, acting as a point of contact for risk matters, overseeing key risk processes, and representing the function in regulatory and audit exams.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the first line non financial risk and supervisory framework across AMER Global Banking.
- Act as a point of contact for risk, supervision and control matters, providing pragmatic, business aligned advice.
- Oversee key non financial risk processes, including RCSAs, conflicts of interest and inducements registers, non financial risk events and issues, and remediation tracking.
- Review and challenge risk and supervisory MI, escalating material issues and employee conduct incidents as appropriate.
- Lead local regulatory and audit exams, representing GB BRM.
- Build strong relationships with Global Banking senior management and control partners, and present at relevant governance forums.
Requirements
- Ideally, 10+ years of experience in Global Banking Compliance, Business Risk Management, COO or a related control role.
- Understanding of non financial risk and supervision within Global Banking, including information barriers, Banking–Research interactions, cross border risks, conflicts / inducements, RCSAs, risk events and conduct matters.
- Proven ability to engage effectively, exercising sound judgement.
- People management experience, or readiness to step into broader leadership responsibility.
- Analytical skills, including use of Excel (e.g. pivots / lookups).
- Ability to produce clear PowerPoint materials and communicate effectively with team members.
- Comfortable using AI enabled tools to support analysis and drafting, with a willingness to continue developing capability.
- Curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows, validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
