About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist clinicians in providing medical care to patients within the Primary Care department. This role involves preparing patients for exams, obtaining medical history, providing direct patient care, collecting specimens, administering medications, and educating patients and families on care plans and treatment progress.
Responsibilities
- Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist clinician with the patient's medical exam.
- Obtains the patient's history and medical information.
- Provides direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse or clinician.
- Collects and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing.
- Administers medications, and vaccinations as directed by the clinician.
- Instructs the patient and family on how to perform clinician recommended preventive care, takes prescribed medication, prepares for tests, monitors treatment progress and notes symptom changes.
- Contacts the patient to provide requested follow-up, advises them of test results or relays clinicians instructions.
- Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintains and Models the Organization's values.
- Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Active LPN License based on state.
- BLS certification required within 30 days.

Salary/Compensations
- $26.48 - $50.49 Hourly
Benefits
- $4,000 - Sign-On Bonus for Full-time externals only, pro-rated for Part-time
