About the Role
Farm Credit East (FCE) is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to independently deliver projects that drive measurable value for customers and business objectives. The PM owns the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and standards. This role requires strong skills in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management to coordinate cross-functional efforts and achieve project outcomes with a customer-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Develop integrated schedules, budgets, dependencies, and change/decision management processes for assigned projects.
- Maintain and communicate progress on value realization, including post-implementation reviews.
- Analyze project performance against OKRs and benefits targets, implementing adjustments to maximize value delivery.
- Independently develop and manage integrated project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Facilitate team meetings, clarify roles and responsibilities, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Identify and address project interdependencies, oversee change requests, and escalate issues or risks.
- Ensure all project artifacts are complete, accurate, and accessible in the designated system of record.
- Coordinate with Legal, Information Security, and Risk to apply organizational policies and standards.
- Conduct regular risk reviews with the team, proactively identify and address risks and issues.
- Deliver clear updates, manage exceptions, and document key decisions for sponsors and stakeholders.
- Partner with Change Enablement and Learning & Development to deliver training, communications, and seamless handoffs.
- Lead sponsor and stakeholder meetings, resolve escalations, and ensure alignment with project and organizational goals.
- Lead retrospectives, propose EPMO procedure updates, and implement enhancements to project delivery.
- Mentor team members in flow efficiency, lead time, and benefits tracking.
- Utilize AI tools to optimize project management deliverables, coach team members in responsible AI use, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Agriculture, Agri-Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience leading projects or major workstreams, ideally in a regulated or cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing project lifecycle phases: planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Experience coordinating teams, managing budgets, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

- $65,000 to $95,000
