About the Role
A man in the Liverpool area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with safety skills and finding activities that interest him. He enjoys camping, playing games, using his tablet, cooking, and live-action plays. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, active, patient, and willing to travel and provide personal care when needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with safety skills
- Assist with finding activities that interest the individual
- Participate in activities alongside the individual
- Provide personal care when needed with verbal prompts
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community
- Must abide by Indera's technology policy
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
