About the Role

The Sr. Project Manager, Key Commercial Accounts is responsible for all aspects of planning for Commercial Accounts orders from internal kick-off meeting to installation completion. This role is operationally and financially accountable for successful project execution, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction while meeting company margin targets. The position involves developing project timelines, assembling project teams, visiting construction sites, and maintaining effective communication. It also ensures quality and on-time delivery, oversees construction site preparedness, and coordinates the installation process until handover to Service. The Sr. Project Manager will mentor and train new Project Managers, train all Project Managers in Subject Matter Expert areas, and provide backup support for the Sr. Manager, National Project Operations. This position requires approximately 70% travel, including internationally.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a tailored project strategy for marquee commercial customers, including requirements outside of Getinge’s standard scope.
Ensure cross-functional collaboration between Getinge’s Project Operations, Commercial Operations, Factory, and Local Teams.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align and achieve Getinge’s long-term commercial growth strategies.
Determine appropriate staffing levels for installations, schedule installation staff, and confirm staffing plans with customers, general contractors, and sales representatives.
Manage and audit external installation contractors, including invoice approval and certification.
Manage project budgets to ensure profit margin targets are met.
Assist in the review, approval, and sign-off of design drawings and final drawing package distribution.
Monitor production schedules with supply chain demand planners and coordinate with Logistics operations to ensure on-time project completion and delivery.
Manage the execution of inventory upon equipment arrival at customer sites.
Conduct pre-installation site inspections and ensure installation site readiness.
Develop and maintain a positive and cooperative business climate with customers, Getinge personnel, and third-party contractors/vendors.
Provide technical expertise to internal customers including Corporate Accounts, Product Management, Service, Technical Support, Engineering, and RA/QA.
Mentor and train new Project Managers.
Provide backup support for the Sr. Manager, National Project Operations.
Assist in resolving problems to the mutual benefit of the customer and Getinge.
Regularly communicate with Installation Specialists, Sales Representatives, Field Service Technicians, and the Sr. Manager, National Project Operations.
Comply with all health and safety codes, procedures, and quality standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Project Management Certification or approximately two years’ leading and directing projects and experience in project management education.
Must have a valid passport and driver’s license.

Skills

Proven experience in the application of technical principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong understanding of specified functional area.
Excellent understanding of business unit function and cross-group dependencies/relationships.
Ability to establish and cultivate an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of technical assignments.
Willingness to lead a project team as required.
Ability to provide input to management on technical and business solutions and relevant reports.
Ability to exercise sound business judgment when selecting innovative and practical methods to achieve problem resolution.
Ability to evaluate and interpret extensive data to help formulate decisions and/or recommendations.
Advanced to Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
