About the Role
This role aims to deliver key 24 Hour London projects, leveraging expert knowledge on nightlife and insights into the night time economy. It involves devising and implementing programs that support the recommendations of the London Nightlife Taskforce and the hospitality sector, requiring collaboration with various stakeholders across government, industry, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Lead meetings in your project area and attend team and unit meetings.
- Manage a busy inbox and Teams chats.
- Write papers to secure approval for project plans, reports, and other activities.
- Develop detailed program delivery plans, evaluations, and reports.
- Respond to inquiries from the public, London Assembly, Mayor’s Office, or other stakeholders.
- Maintain regular contact with nightlife and hospitality stakeholders, staying informed of industry issues, and briefing colleagues.
- Work with the new independent London Nightlife Taskforce.
- Deliver a new Nightlife Fund to support the growth, diversity, and innovation of London’s nightlife.
- Deliver the Mayor’s flagship Summer Streets program to support the hospitality sector through outdoor dining, later openings, and events.
- Support the development of London as a 24-hour city.
- Work with senior stakeholders across government, industry, and the city.
- Make a visible impact on how London works, plays, and grows.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of nightlife, night time economy, and 24-hour economy policy and stakeholders.
- Experience leading the development and delivery of strategic initiatives and projects.
- Experience developing and maintaining effective strategic relationships with key partners to support Mayoral objectives.
- Experience supporting the delivery of communications and marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing grant funding programs and adhering to public sector governance requirements.
- Experience procuring and managing consultants.
- Familiarity with working in, or with, government.
- Experience working with nightlife, hospitality, and other key 24-hour London stakeholders.
