About the Role
In this role, you will be close to the market, customers, and in the middle of the action. You will be responsible for acquiring and developing customers in the grocery retail sector independently and expanding our presence in the retail environment. You will combine sales strength with market intuition, work in a structured manner in your daily routine, and contribute ideas that make an impact. Your goal: sustainable growth, strong placements, and visibly successful brands.
Responsibilities
- You will independently manage your customers in grocery retail and consistently develop existing partnerships through regular, targeted visits.
- You will gain new listings, expand existing placements, and ensure our brands are sustainably anchored in the market.
- You will monitor the market and relevant competitors, identify trends and opportunities early on, and derive concrete measures for your region.
- You will plan your activities in a structured manner in advance and document progress, results, and measures cleanly in the CRM system.
- You will analyze the performance of your customers, understand sales and revenue drivers, and derive targeted measures for further development.
- You will actively support product launches, develop assortments, and ensure strong implementation at the POS.
- You will showcase our brands in an attention-grabbing way, increase visibility, and ensure optimal placement on the floor.
- You will conduct discussions with market managers at eye level, consistently implement agreements, and ensure that agreed-upon measures are implemented in the market.
- You will regularly analyze your key figures and use them to identify and expand potentials.
Requirements
- A successfully completed commercial apprenticeship as a basis for your sales and economic activities.
- Strong self-responsibility and initiative, as well as the ambition to actively manage and continuously develop your sales territory.
- High communication skills, negotiation skills, and teamwork, combined with a quick grasp of new products, markets, and sales approaches.
- Clear result and closing orientation with a focus on measurable goals, sustainable growth, and sales increase.
- Strong commercial thinking, assertiveness, and the ability to convincingly place sales arguments and confidently defend decisions.
- Experience in selling consumer goods, ideally in the grocery retail environment, combined with a good feel for customer potential and sales opportunities.
- Very proficient use of CRM systems for planning, prioritizing, and tracking customer contacts, measures, and successes, as well as routine use of MS Office.
- A structured, performance-oriented way of working, willingness to travel within the sales territory, and a Class B driver's license for maximum flexibility.
