About the Role
FT Live is seeking a Junior Multimedia Designer to create engaging motion, video, and visual content for global events. This role focuses on producing moving image assets for marketing and delivery, with opportunities to develop broader graphic design skills and potentially manage event design end-to-end. Training and support will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Create video and animation assets for FT Live events, including content for LED screens.
- Support event videography and photography, including documenting events, capturing b-roll, and interviewing attendees.
- Liaise with audio-visual and production teams regarding event technicals.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to develop design briefs and manage expectations.
- Storyboard video concepts prior to production.
- Produce pre- and post-event video content for social media, event screens, and websites.
- Create supporting non-video assets such as promotional graphics and advertisements.
- Develop and maintain event asset templates and establish consistent motion asset standards.
- Assist in managing relationships with external creative and production suppliers.
- Stay updated on design, video, and motion trends, including AI and automation tools.
- Share knowledge of video design with colleagues to enhance team skills.
- Take on management of individual event design requirements as experience grows.
Requirements
- A recognized design qualification.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong motion design work.
- Enthusiasm for typography, graphic design, video, and motion.
- Interest in the developing use of AI in creative work.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Confident, collaborative communication style.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different disciplines.
- Proficiency in Mac OSX, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- A strong desire to develop new technical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and platforms.
