About the Role
Provide diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and perform post-procedure scans. This role supports our Bronx, NY location and requires passion for patient care, problem-solving, a willingness to learn, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post procedure scans.
- Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct medical intakes.
- Enter medical notes in our EMR system.
- Utilize sterile technique for procedure setup and patient preparation.
- Assist during procedures.
- Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
- Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and report any issues.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and the health care team.
Requirements
- One year of experience as a Medical Sonographer.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Experience with lower extremity/vascular procedures preferred.
