About the Role
The University of Law Business School is seeking Lecturer/Senior Lecturers for its London Moorgate campus on a Fixed Term basis. The role involves providing tuition across postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses, adapting to diverse learning styles, and supporting student academic progression.
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess across The University of Law Business School course portfolio in assigned subjects.
- Deliver teaching and assessment across a range of written and presentation skills, providing individual feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
- Participate in course design and review.
- Act as an academic coach to students, discussing problems, performance, and academic progression.
- Mark in-course assignments and final assessments.
- Support students and deal with queries.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (in Business and/or Management) or professional qualifications.
- For Senior Lecturers – Fellowship of the HEA and Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE)*.
- Extensive relevant experience (for Senior Lecturers).
- Teaching in a Higher Education setting or an educational establishment.
- Flexibility to teach across a range of different subjects.
- Punctual, professional, and committed to teaching.
- Significant expertise in application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments and marking, team leadership (for Senior Lecturers).
- Requirement to enroll in a PgCHE or equivalent qualification within 12 months of passing probation if not already held.
