About the Role
This role supports Americas Research Management across various functions including vetting, private company initiatives, and commerciality initiatives like client events and senior-level client engagement. The individual will assist in coordinating research processes, managing vetting requests, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. There is significant scope for growth, with opportunities to expand responsibilities into targeted client outreach and event planning.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the oversight and coordination of processes where Banking engages Research.
- Manage vetting requests and assign them to appropriate analysts or teams.
- Track and manage ongoing vetting and deal activity.
- Support Research teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and UBS policies.
- Review Research materials, such as syndicate submissions and teach-ins.
- Maintain oversight of multiple concurrent processes.
- Serve as a point of guidance for Research teams.
- Aid the Research Management team in planning and coordinating private company content and network engagement.
- Develop strategy for private company outreach, engagement, and network development/maintenance.
- Lead event ideation and execution, leveraging existing events and developing new ones.
- Coordinate with private/thematic research teams to develop ad hoc events on topical thematic reports/content.
- Plan and coordinate targeted outreach by Research Management to key clients.
- Conduct systematic outreach to Investor Relations and C-suite of companies covered by UBS.
- Engage in in-person and virtual interactions, including 1-1 and focused group events.
- Plan and arrange new events.
Requirements
- Curious to explore how AI can improve workflows, with sound judgment for validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
- Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements governing Research and Investment Banking interactions.
- Prior experience in Equity Research Compliance or within Equity Research as an Analyst, Associate, or Supervisory Analyst.
- Working knowledge of valuation methodologies and accounting principles across multiple sectors.
- Proven ability to manage complex, high-volume workflows with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and the confidence to provide oversight and challenge where appropriate.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
