About the Role
A family on the Upper West Side is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist for overnight shifts to assist with their 1.5-month-old baby. The role requires expertise in sleep training and a nurturing approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing newborn care, including feeding and bathing.
- Manage diaper changes and maintain hygiene.
- Handle baby laundry, bottle/pump part cleaning and sanitizing, and cleaning of baby items.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Offer recommendations for nursery items and daily routines.
- Implement parents' preferences.
- Foster a calm and supportive environment.
- Promote healthy sleep habits following AAP safe sleep guidelines.
- Log pertinent information, including feedings and diaper changes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of NCS experience.
- Up to date on TDap and flu vaccines.
- US work authorization.
- Proven experience and success in sleep training.
- Availability for a 5-6 week contract is ideal.
