About the Role

The Divisional Pricing team supports, challenges, and provides insights to pricing teams globally. We ensure adherence to pricing principles, controls, and targets for senior leadership. This role offers exposure to diverse global markets and collaboration with various experts and data sources.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing front-line pricing for large and non-standard quotes.
  • Conducting deep dives to ensure appropriateness of current assumptions, applications, and methodologies.
  • Monitoring and reporting on Enterprise Pricing Metrics at product family and PL Re levels.
  • Participating in PL Re-wide projects impacting pricing.
  • Contributing to division-wide methodologies and building the PL Re pricing reference library.
  • Pursuing consistency in pricing methodology and process across regions and business lines by identifying and setting best practices.
  • Playing a part in the evolution of analytic techniques in pricing through thought leadership.
  • Developing pricing knowledge within the context of PL Re Pricing methodologies and culture.
  • Proactively learning different pricing methodologies and approaches.
  • Understanding and challenging the pricing of new risks or novel reinsurance structures.
  • Collaborating with global colleagues to advance pricing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Actuary
  • Ability to work independently in a small, flexible, and dynamic team.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to develop an understanding of statistical methods.
  • Interest in programming and comfortable with or willing to learn software packages, such as Tableau, SQL, and R.
