About the Role
As the Interim Operations Director, you will be a key member of London East Hospital's Senior Management Team, instrumental in delivering the Annual Operating Plan in line with the hospital's strategy, Spire Healthcare’s Purpose, and Values. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Hospital Capacity Manager to maximize patient throughput and facility utilization, adhering to safe and efficient care standards.
- Lead all non-clinical services and colleagues through Team Leaders to build engaged teams and ensure efficient, consistent ways of working.
- Oversee the hospital's day-to-day operational performance to meet financial targets and key performance indicators.
- Provide assurance to the Hospital Director regarding risk management processes for regulatory compliance and foster a culture of open reporting and learning to improve patient care.
Requirements
- Track record of successful delivery in a managerial role, ideally in a multi-functional environment.
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment.
- Natural leader able to manage people to deliver a plan of activity.
- Accountable and forthright with problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of key business processes and complex business issues.
- Ability to challenge constructively in a solution-oriented manner.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing pressures and conflicting priorities.
