About the Role

Join GlassDollar to help build the system used by Europe's largest companies to find, test, and adopt startup technology. This role offers considerably more responsibility, allowing you to take ambiguous problems, shape them with product, make technical decisions, ship solutions, and evaluate their success.

Responsibilities

  • Take a problem further than the ticket, shaping it with product and challenging assumptions.
  • Make important technical decisions, considering product context and success metrics.
  • Improve the system beyond individual features, such as refactoring code, enhancing APIs, and strengthening tests.
  • Work across the full stack, from frontend interactions to backend services and database changes.
  • Own quality by considering edge cases, potential failures, and ensuring confidence through testing and monitoring.
  • Communicate decisions clearly and document trade-offs for future understanding.
  • Raise the engineering bar by identifying architectural improvements and unblocking team members.
  • Develop enterprise integrations with customer systems, data, identity providers, and workflows.
  • Design and build public REST APIs and MCP servers for customers and AI agents.
  • Implement AI features using embeddings, vector search, and LLMs within real workflows.
  • Build workflow automation, including triggers and notifications, to replace manual information transfer.
  • Contribute to core product engineering, including React interfaces, APIs, PostgreSQL queries, permissions, migrations, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Substantial production experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Comfortable reasoning about relational databases, not just the ORM.
  • Ability to independently take a feature from an unclear starting point to production.
  • Capacity to read unfamiliar code without immediately proposing a rewrite.
  • Strong fundamentals, meaningful software shipped, and a bias toward ownership.

  • Material UI
