About the Role

Seeking applicant(s) for a full-time academic anesthesiologist appointment at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, or Women's College Hospitals in Toronto. The successful candidate will provide anesthetic care, supervise and teach students, residents, and fellows, and participate in on-call services, teaching programs, and administrative duties. Academic opportunities for research and teaching are available.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthetic care throughout surgical and obstetric programs.
Supervise and teach students, residents, and fellows.
Provide on-call services in rotation.
Participate in formal in-house and University teaching programs.
Undertake hospital administrative duties.
Facilitate research, teaching, and education by others.
Conduct teaching concurrently with clinical care and/or in organized educational programs.

Requirements

Eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto.
Medical degree.
Postgraduate fellowship training.
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anesthesia (or equivalent).
Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Proven clinical skills at a high level.
Evidence of demonstrated excellence in research and/or education.
Commitment to teaching students, residents, and fellows.
