About the Role

Join our trading team to help clients buy and sell equities, foreign currencies, interest rates, credit, and derivatives. Become an integral part of our quantitative business, promoting products and trading opportunities, acting as a liaison between clients and traders, or constructing financial market models.

Responsibilities

Help clients buy and sell on the phone and using online systems.
Promote products and trading opportunities to clients based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and investment styles.
Act as the link between clients and traders, providing market information and executing trades at the best prices.
Use online systems to buy and sell equities, foreign currencies, interest rates, and credit.
Seek the best prices to execute client sales orders.
Construct models of financial markets to identify investment opportunities and assess execution costs and financial risks.
Build tools and analytics that automate and streamline daily business processes on the trading desk.
Perform ad-hoc quantitative analysis of market scenarios requested by Sales and Trading.

Requirements

Graduating from a university in Japan between June 2027 and July 2028.
Ability to analyze a problem, take a view, and come to a decision.
Ability to plan, organize, and communicate well in Japanese.
Ability to make things happen.
Ability to stick with a task.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to come up with ideas.
Interest in financial markets.
A degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, law, or any other degree.
A formal background in finance or practical experience in computer programming or doing research in their academic field is a plus.
Must register and create an account for a "MyPage".
Must complete an entry sheet via MyPage.
Must take a quantitative and aptitude test.
Must answer departmental questions on MyPage.
Must submit an English resume when applying on the UBS site.
Quantitative and aptitude test results are valid for 6 months.
Quantitative and aptitude test can only be taken once per applicant.
MyPage and UBS site applications are limited to one per person.
