About the Role
This role ensures and enables a compliant organization and robust inspection readiness by providing Risk and Compliance oversight within the RDP organization. It involves ensuring appropriate Risk Governance and providing expertise and support in Risk, Compliance, and Management Monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide Risk and Compliance oversight in RDP.
- Set, deploy, and maintain meaningful KPIs/metrics for a compliant organization and continuous improvement.
- Own and drive the management monitoring process and oversee relevant controls.
- Support RDP in risk management, including identification, control strategy, and residual risk assessment.
- Coordinate regulatory intelligence monitoring for GVP, GCP, and GLP requirements.
- Support Haleon QPPV as required, including input to PSMF and data collection for QPPV oversight.
- Establish and maintain risk management structures and processes (SOPs, templates, risk register, charter).
- Train RDP/R&D personnel on risk management.
- Set, deploy, and maintain KPIs/metrics for risk management framework effectiveness.
- Collect and consolidate information from risk owners for compliance and risk assessment.
- Coordinate risk management forums (CMO ROC and R&D CRF) as secretariat.
- Act as the contact point between Enterprise Risk & Audit and R&D functions.
- Articulate and communicate risk management principles/models within R&D.
- Develop supportive materials (templates, training) for RDP and R&D functions in Compliance and Risk management.
Requirements
- Life Science (or equivalent) degree.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in management of Risk, Compliance, and Quality in R&D functions (e.g., Clinical, Regulatory, Safety, PV, etc.).
Skills
- Broad scientific/pharmaceutical industry background with relevant experience in R&D functions.
- Effective communication at all levels, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and partner with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and quick learner who proactively shares knowledge and welcomes feedback.
- Ability to challenge ways of working, bring new ideas, and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
- Adaptability to changing business and risk environments.
- Effective organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities in parallel and respond to emerging requests.
- Ability to work independently and proactively to resolve complex problems.
- Demonstrated project management skills and management of complex cross-functional activities.
- Agility to navigate matrix organizations, remove silos, and bring clarity.
- Agility with data (KPIs, metrics), including identification, analysis, reporting, and action planning.
- Proficiency with quality tools, risk management tools, and IT systems.

- Advanced Degree in science related field
