About the Role

Your work aims to inspire people to get involved and recruit them for volunteer work with BUND, while also supporting our groups and state associations. You will develop nationwide participation offers and coordinate projects at the intersection of volunteer management, community, and communication.

Responsibilities

Develop strategies and measures for recruiting and retaining volunteers, strengthening volunteer engagement in BUND groups and state associations.
Conceive digital and analog participation offers on nature and environmental protection topics and coordinate their implementation in nationwide projects and campaigns.
Develop and coordinate community management processes, address diverse target groups, and design activating formats for interested individuals and volunteers.
Conceive and create mailings, website content, and other online and offline materials, coordinating internal and external stakeholders and managing agencies and service providers as needed.
Provide technical guidance to colleagues within the team and support team leadership with administrative and organizational tasks.

Requirements

Completed university degree, e.g., in social sciences, communication sciences, or fundraising.
Ideally 2 years of experience in volunteer management and community management, as well as in target-group-specific communication and content creation for online and offline formats.
Experience in project management and cross-team processes, proficient use of digital tools such as content management systems, e-mailing tools, and CRM systems, or willingness to learn them.
Strong communication skills (German C2 level), confident demeanor, enjoyment of collaboration with interested individuals and volunteers, and experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and interface management.
Proactive, solution-oriented, and structured work approach, resilience, and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Experience in the technical guidance of colleagues.
Willingness to undertake business trips.
