About the Role

Join our Business System Analysis - 24/7 Trading team to shape the development and integration of gas spot trading systems within the EEX application landscape. Analyze business needs, translate them into requirements, and lead functional topics from clarification through validation, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyze business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements, business rules, process models, and acceptance criteria.
Lead functional topics from initial clarification through implementation and validation.
Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Functional Analysts, Architects, Developers, and Quality Assurance teams.
Cover trading functionality, order and trade processing, participant and reference data, trading APIs, regulatory reporting, and integration with upstream and downstream systems.
Facilitate workshops and consolidate requirements across stakeholders.
Evaluate solution options and ensure consistent documentation and traceability.
Focus on end-to-end processes and data flows across the gas spot trading application chain.
Align business concepts, interfaces, operational processes, and system dependencies.
Review functional designs and clarify implementation questions.
Support functional, acceptance, and integration testing.
Investigate system behavior and defects, assess the impact of changes.
Ensure delivered solutions meet business, operational, regulatory, and customer needs.
Contribute to clear documentation and effective knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a comparable field.
At least five years of relevant working experience in business analysis or system analysis.
Experience in requirements engineering, business-process modelling, and the preparation of functional specifications.
Understanding of electronic trading, financial markets, and/or energy and commodity markets.
Experience with APIs, data flows, event-driven processes, and system integration.
Experience in defining acceptance criteria and supporting functional, acceptance, and integration testing, as well as defect analysis.
Ability to understand complex end-to-end processes, align stakeholders across organizational boundaries, and translate business needs into implementable solutions.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, UML, BPMN, or comparable tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Structured, independent, and collaborative way of working.
High proficiency in English.
