About the Role
Jordan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant-Union to work as a member of the primary health care support team, providing quality medical aid to patients across various departments including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Optometry, Podiatry, MAAT, PPC, and Obstetrics. This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a significant impact on patients' quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Jordan Health patients receive high-quality, consistent, competent, patient-centered care.
- Manage patient flow to clinicians and service staff based on appointment arrangements to allow Jordan Health to serve an optimal number of patients.
- Act as a strong team player within the Jordan team.
- Ensure Jordan Health is in full compliance with all requirements related to the provision of care.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training.
- At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- High school or GED equivalent.
- Current BLS/CPR Certificate through the American Heart Association.
- Infection Control Certificate.
Skills
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Interviewing techniques for interviewing patients/families for data gathering.
- Strong communication and inter-professional skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and clinical judgment.
- Bilingual or multilingual status may be required based on needs of department/organization and will be specified at the time of interview.
