About the Role
As a Sales Executive for BBC Gardeners’ World, you will sell stand space and digital assets across events to new and existing clients. This target-driven role requires a self-motivated individual with strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills, who is passionate about the products and seeks new commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Sales Manager and Sales Development Manager to ensure exhibitor targets are met.
- Sell stand space and digital assets to new and existing business via phone, proposals, and emails.
- Identify new leads by researching business opportunities and visiting competitor events.
- Engage new prospects, actively sell, and close business, communicating pledges and forecasts accurately.
- Build strong exhibitor relations and provide account management using the CRM system.
- Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure actions are completed.
- Produce and chase sales contracts on the CRM system.
- Keep floorplans up to date.
- Manage client debt and liaise with the finance team to resolve issues.
- Participate in onsite rebooks, working towards set targets.
- Attend agreed Immediate Live shows, potentially requiring overnight stays.
Requirements
- Demonstrable success in sales is a benefit.
- Experience in consumer events or exhibitions is beneficial.
- An interest in gardening is an advantage.
