About the Role

As an Operations Controller, you will work at the intersection of Finance, Operations, and specialist departments. You will ensure transparency in projects, analyze operational key figures, further develop reporting, and support data-driven decision-making across the company. You will also drive the advancement of processes and the system landscape, creating a foundation for sustainable growth. We are looking for individuals with strong analytical skills, a willingness to take responsibility, and the ability to derive concrete recommendations from data.

Responsibilities

  • Create forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses in collaboration with specialist departments.
  • Analyze project, order, and company key figures and derive well-founded recommendations.
  • Further develop calculations, contribution margin accounting, and operational reporting.
  • Build and further develop modern operations controlling.
  • Optimize controlling processes and support the expansion of our BI landscape.
  • Analyze plan deviations and participate in the development and implementation of improvement measures.
  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to increase efficiency, profitability, and transparency.
  • Ensure high data quality and further develop CRM, ERP, BI, and reporting processes (including HubSpot, Teamwork, Langdock, and Excel).
  • Participate in monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on controlling, finance, accounting, or a comparable commercial apprenticeship.
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling or finance.
  • Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and BI systems.
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues understandably.
  • German at C1/C2 level and English at least at B2 level.
  • Ideally, experience in project-based organizations or in project and order processing.
